The programme focuses on a comprehensive approach to energy management in the context of sustainable development, climate objectives, and strategic documents of the Olomouc Region, the Czech Republic, and the European Union. It integrates energy strategy, energy consumption management, renewable energy sources, energy communities, and modern digital technologies, with a strong emphasis on practical application in organisations and the public sector.
Participants acquire comprehensive knowledge in building energy management, energy monitoring and optimisation, financing of energy projects through national and European funding schemes, and innovations, digitalisation, and smart energy systems. The programme combines theoretical foundations, best practice examples, and hands-on project-based learning.
The programme strengthens strategic and sustainable decision-making skills, supports the implementation of innovative energy solutions, and develops competences necessary for managing energy activities at both organisational and regional levels.
Educational objectives of the programme:
The aim of the programme is to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and competences necessary for effective energy management in line with sustainability principles and climate commitments. The programme develops the ability to analyse energy consumption, design and implement energy-saving measures, prepare and manage energy projects, and apply modern technologies and digital tools in the energy sector. Emphasis is placed on strategic thinking, economic efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
Required prerequisites:
Admission to the programme requires at least completed secondary education with a school-leaving examination. A technical background is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
Graduate’s profile:
Graduates of the programme are capable of independently and collaboratively managing energy activities at both organisational and regional levels. They can analyse building energy consumption, design and implement energy efficiency measures, and prepare projects focused on renewable energy utilisation. Graduates are familiar with funding and subsidy schemes, use digital technologies for energy monitoring and reporting, and are able to engage organisations in energy communities. They actively contribute to achieving sustainable development, climate protection, and clean energy objectives.
