Annotation of the programme:
The course is designed for international and English-speaking staff members at Palacký University who may encounter students with special needs in the course of their work. It is suitable for both academic staff and staff of other university units who come into contact with students.The course provides a basic introduction to the system of support for students with special needs at Palacký University and presents appropriate ways of responding to their needs in various situations related to their studies and life at the university.The course does not focus on individual diagnoses or types of disability. Instead, it addresses practical situations that university staff may encounter when teaching, communicating with students, providing study-related and administrative services, or carrying out other university activities. Participants will learn about the role of the Support Centre for Students with Special Needs (CPSSP), the basic principles of accessibility and support, and opportunities for cooperation with CPSSP. The course will also provide space for questions and for sharing practical experiences.
Educational objectives of the programme:
The programme aims to develop staff competencies in supporting students with special needs and to provide participants with a basic understanding of the support system at Palacký University. Participants will acquire essential knowledge enabling them to identify potential barriers, communicate appropriately with students, and respond adequately to their individual needs. They will also gain an understanding of the support available through CPSSP and of situations in which it is appropriate to contact the Centre.

The LLL programme is designed for the staff of Palacký University in Olomouc
Graduate’s profile:
Upon completion of the programme, participants will understand the basic principles of support for students with special needs at Palacký University and the role of CPSSP. They will be able to identify common barriers that students may encounter in the university environment, communicate appropriately with students, and respond adequately to their needs within the scope of their professional role. They will also be able to recognise situations in which it is appropriate to contact CPSSP for professional support or consultation.
