Anotace programu/kurzu
Being stressed is normal. Or is not it?
When we look at current statistics, every third person in contemporary Western society reports experiencing chronic stress. But is the human body designed to function under constant strain? And is it possible for our bodies to operate effectively without regularly recharging their energy?
As awareness grows of how profoundly work-related stress negatively affects mental health, along with all other aspects of life, interest in psychohygiene and the development of psychological resilience among employees continues to rise. Universities and higher education institutions worldwide are increasingly committed to strengthening the resilience of their academic staff and employees, actively supporting the acquisition of effective stress-coping strategies.
Within the framework of mental health promotion, this course focuses on one key objective: the development of personal resilience and its core determinants, namely emotional regulation, optimism, perceived self-efficacy, self-compassion, and cognitive flexibility. Drawing on scientific evidence and activities proven effective by the latest research in psychological well-being, the course introduces the theory of stress, supports participants in assessing their own level of resilience, presents practical stress-management techniques, and offers a range of experiential activities aimed at helping participants regain control over their stress.
