The aim of the program is to prepare high-quality professionals equipped with specialized knowledge, relevant skills, and an understanding of social needs, who will be able to identify potential for social innovation using digital technologies in their professional fields. This is reflected in the structure of the program, which focuses on developing a basic understanding of relevant areas in the first year. In the third semester, students choose a specific area of focus through compulsory elective courses (culture, communication, education), and in the fourth semester, they gain practical experience in the form of service-learning or project-oriented internships, which they apply in the preparation of their thesis. Throughout their studies, students will develop relevant academic and practical competencies and develop their attitudes and professional values in line with how digital technologies are transforming society.

Learning outcomes: Knowledge and understanding Students will be able to: - Explain the objectives, outcomes, structure and articulation of a joint master's degree program, - describe the field of social innovation in/for the digital society in the perspective of global citizenship and sustainability, - explain, summarise and link the concepts of digital society, social innovation and global citizenship in the way they are formulated in the joint Master's programme, - discuss the key aspects and implications of the relationship between digital technologies, digitalisation, society and citizenship, - explain what social innovation is and how it is and can be linked to sustainability and global citizenship, - identify key themes/areas of social innovation in the digital society, - Synthesise key information from relevant theories and research on digital society and social innovation that represent different perspectives/approaches/across disciplines or from relevant sub-disciplines, - Recognise a key set of ethical issues/dilemmas that relate to social innovation in the digital society when set within a global citizenship and sustainable development perspective. Skills and competences Students will be able to: - Independently organise their learning activities, - describe how these issues and ethical dilemmas affect local and global communities and require innovative strategies to address them, - contribute to teamwork, facilitate team members' contributions, foster a constructive team climate, and respond to conflict. - Assess own ethical values and the social context of issues, - recognize ethical issues in different (global) settings and describe how ethical considerations cause consequences of alternative actions. Values Students will be able to: - Describe how these problems and ethical dilemmas affect local and global communities and require innovative strategies to address them, - contribute to teamwork, facilitate team member contributions, foster a constructive team climate, and respond to conflict, - assess their own ethical values and the social context of issues, - recognize ethical issues in different (global) settings and describe how ethical perspectives cause consequences of alternative actions.
